Проблема с Rover Book

Нетбук хороший, с предустановленным ASPLinux. Я вобще не сторонник федоровских дистрибютивов, и потому решил снести его и поставить Aurora(eeeBuntu) Поставил - заработало. Только есть одна штука, сильно мешающая работать - экран имеет разрешение 800x480, а упоротый линукс ставит 800х600, и выходит что целых 120 пикселей скрыты за экраном. В ASPLinux таких проблем не было. Решил поработать руками - выставил с помошью консоли разрешение 800х480 - экран чернеет и появляется вновь только при откате на 800х600
Что я только не делал - а воз и ныне там. Решил значит порыться в ASP и наткнулся на тамошний xorg.conf, который меня озадачил -

Как видно, никакого 800х480 тут нет, но графика работает нормально, а разрешение тоже нормальное. Странно ещё и другое - тулбар находится в ASP снизу, и потому это доказывает что там как аз нет никакого пустого места. Жду ответов, заранее спасибо.

ЗЫ: В поддержке Rover открещиваются, и ссылаются на этот сайт, как сайт куда обращатся за поддержкой

По поводу xorg.conf. Попробуйте сделать xorg -configure.

Еще очень интересно почитать man xorg.conf - родной, ееебунтовский.
И еще интересное чтиво: /var/log/Xorg.0.log.
Особенно строки, начинающиеся с WW и EE...
Re: Проблема с Rover Book 03.07.2010 10:31daydrim Зря АСП снесли конечно, ебунту некачественный дистр имхо собран (хотя к дебиан нареканий нет), моё мнение что АСП подогнан под ровер нео и смысл, то сносить, какой?
вместо rpm deb пользоваться и вместо yum - apt-get ? ну как бы это особо ничего не даёт

Пока нет ответа от lkanter, попробуем поиграть в телепатов:
драйвер должен быть xorg-x11-drv-geode (так он называется в fedora), у вас скорее всего стоит vesa

Ну он же пишет тебе:

То есть надо смотреть где дефолтные установки экрана и их править...
Возможно они в драйвере.
